At Believa Carpets and Rugs, we specialize in oriental carpets with bright colors and geometric designs. The carpets are named after the tribes that have passed their particular motifs, colors and wool down the generations.

Here’s a description of each style that we offer:

Shirvan
Shirvan are characterized by soft and smooth wool, a thin pile, and a red, blue, green and beige (undyed wool) color palette.

Baluch
Baluch have more abstract geometric motifs, with a mostly red, blue and orange color palette.

Kilim
Kilim are flat weave carpets, similar to tapestries. The designs are woven instead of knotted like other tribal carpets.

Biljik Turkomen
Biljik Turkomen have finer wool than Khal Mohammadi, and have a dark red and blue color palette

Khoja Roshnai
Khoja Roshnai are made from the finest wool, and have a red, orange and blue color palette.

Khal Mohammadi
Khal Mohammadi have a thicker pile of fine wool, and feature traditional Turkomen designs with a dark red and blue color palette.

Kazak
Kazak are similar to Shirvan, but the wool has subtle variations of color called "abrash."
